Although Jan van Brabant College is one of the oldest schools in the Netherlands the school is often front runner in innovative developments in the educational field. The school is one of the three founding “Brainport schools”and has long and broad experience on internationalisation. We offer our students besides the regular educational path a bilingual stream in which they are submerged in the English language. The population is stable around 1000 students and is divided in three levels; Mavo, Havo Vwo.
Brainport Schools try to offer collaborate with local companies to enhance their education and to make local talent aware of the opportunities in the region. As a result Brainportschools offer a broad range of internationalisation projects focussing on the development of intercultural competences, traineeships and assignments for companies. All 11 Brainport schools stay in close contact with each other to share best practises.
Jan van Brabant College contributes with its expertise to the validation of the project framework and model as well as to piloting activities, procedures and tools at regional level, providing feedbak to the coordiantor and partecipating in the sperimentation of the curricula carried out in the European Laboratory.
